Terms of service
These terms are between you and Savassi Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17435417) at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). They cover BallSZN: Basketball Career ("the game") and this website. By installing or playing the game you agree to them. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.
1. The game
BallSZN is a free, single-player basketball career game. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads and no in-app purchases. It works offline.
2. Your licence to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play the game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial fun. If you got the game from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if you got it from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply. Where these terms and the store's terms differ about the licence itself, the store's terms win.
3. Play fair
Please don't:
- copy, sell, rent or redistribute the game or any part of it, including its art, sounds and music;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify the game, except where the law says you may;
- use the game to break the law or to harm anyone.
Streaming and sharing clips and screenshots of your games is welcome, including on monetised channels.
4. Your career and saves
Your career is saved on your phone, not on our servers. Deleting the game deletes your saves, unless your phone's own backup (iCloud Backup or Google backup) restores them. We work hard to keep saves safe, but we can't be responsible for saves lost when the game is deleted or a device is lost, reset or damaged.
5. Updates and changes
We may update the game to fix problems, balance it, or add or remove features. If a future version adds anything you can buy, it will come with its own clear terms, and anything you buy will be cosmetic or a convenience, never pay-to-win.
6. Our content
The game, its code, art, characters, sounds, music, the BallSZN name and logo belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Teams are named only after real cities and states. No real leagues, team names, logos or players are used, and nothing is licensed from or endorsed by any league. Any likeness to real people is a coincidence.
7. Anonymous usage data and privacy
The game asks before it sends any anonymous usage data or game recordings, and you can change your answer in Settings. Our privacy policy explains what is collected and why.
8. Other services
The game and this website link to Instagram and Discord. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer. The game is provided free and as it is; to the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available, error free or suit every device.
10. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses, or for damage you could have avoided by following our advice (for example, keeping your phone's backup on). Because the game is free, to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to £50. We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If the game damages a device or other digital content of yours because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or compensate you.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop at any time by deleting the game. If you seriously break these terms, we may end your licence to play.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the game changes or the law requires it. We will post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the game if a change matters to you.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the European Union, you also keep the protections of your local law and can bring a claim in your local courts.
